When should we expect the Sony PlayStation 4? We've all been speculating that it could happen sometime in the next few years, which is entirely probable.
In May 2011, the Sony Executive Vice-President and CFO, Masaru Kato,
confirmed the development of PS4. He couldn't give any
release date speculation, but from the past, it's kind of easy to assume that it will be before 2016, even possibly 2013.
I hated and loved it when the PS2 came out 5 years after the PS, personally. The
PS3 was expensive, but worth it. And then
another five years later, I had to shell out for a PS3, for obvious reasons. Now, five years later, and still no set release date for the PS4--both good and bad.
But I don't think a 2013 release date will be a bad decision on Sony's part. It's far enough away for Sony to make a good product, and to save up cash to blow on a new console.
